Laney Introduces the L20T-112 UK Made Valve Guitar Amp

Friday/July/2010 01:42 PM
The L20T-112 combo features the same highly respected preamp design as the rest of the Lionheart range and consists of a clean and drive section with shared 3 band EQ, global reverb and an overall tone control.
The L20T-112's all valve power amp houses a road tested 20 Watt Class A parallel single ended EL84 equipped output section, not previously seen in a Lionheart 1 x 12 combo. This offers the player an increased headroom option in a combo whilst still giving masses of vintage valve tone in a compact stylish package.

The L20T-112 can sound either vintage or modern depending on how you use the preamp controls - back off the gain, wind up the master and you're cooking up serious retro tone. Digging in hard produces extra bite, or backing off cleans it all up.

DBX adds a Media Engine option to the SC Processors

Wednesday/June/2010 08:26 PM
The SC Media Engine is a factory option for the SC 32 and SC 64 Digital Matrix Processors. It brings cost-effective, flash-based, multi-channel playback of stored media to the SC 32 and SC 64 devices.
The SC Media Engine comprises a DSP card and 2GB of flash storage (1.6GB of which is usable). This allows storage of media files on the SC device itself for subsequent routing and playback. The Media Engine facilitates simultaneous playback of up to eight channels of stored media and a total storage time of approximately three hours. Future implementations will support higher storage capacities. To add media to the Media Engine, media is uploaded from the hard-drive of the control PC to the SC device via the control network.

BSS Introduces London BLU-BIB

Wednesday/June/2010 04:34 PM
The Soundweb London BLU-BIB or “break-in box” offers 8 channels of analog audio input expansion via the Soundweb London high bandwidth, fault tolerant digital audio bus. This expander features a low latency, fault tolerant digital audio bus of 256 channels which uses standard Category 5e cabling giving a distance of 100m between compatible devices. The BSS Audio MC-1 fiber optic media converter can be used to increase the distance between devices to over 10km (6.2 miles) using single mode fiber. The BLU-BIB input channels are easily configured by six DIP switches located on the rear of the device, which select consecutive channels in groups of eight. This simple configuration allows assignment to any 8-channel range within the 256 channels available on the digital audio bus. Input channel assignments are configured by DIP switch selection only. The BLU-BIB is not configured by HiQnetTM London Architect. Each channel’s input gain and Phantom Power are adjusted using buttons on the front panel.

JBL Introduces Control 60 Series Pendant Speakers at Infocomm

Wednesday/June/2010 04:01 PM
All models (except the ultra-compact Control 62P) incorporate JBL’s proprietary, conical RBI Radiation Boundary Integrator® technology, adapted originally from our VERTEC® Series of line array loudspeakers. This JBL patent-pending innovation combines a large-diameter, high-frequency waveguide, which provides excellent pattern control for the HF frequencies, with low-frequency apertures that work in tandem to provide a seamless integration of coverage between the two coaxially-mounted drivers. The result is extremely even pattern control and coverage, where all listeners hear a consistent, flat, frequency response and superior sound quality, even when using fewer speakers.

C62P – Ultra-Compact Mid-High Satellite Pendant Speaker.  For full-range wide bandwidth performance, up to four pieces can be driven from a wall-mounted Control 50S/T (or in-ceiling 40CS/T) subwoofer, or can be actively crossed over in a subwoofer/satellite system.   The Control 62P can intermix with Control 52 surface-mount and Control 42C in-ceiling satellite speakers for locations where multiple form factors are required.

C65P/T – Compact Full-Range Pendant Speaker -- The Control 65P/T incorporates JBL’s exclusive RBI technology to provide very consistent, wide coverage throughout the listening space. This model provides wide 120-degree conical coverage, a 5-1/4-inch (130 mm) woofer with a silk dome tweeter for high fidelity sound quality, and comes with a 60W multi-tap transformer.
C67P/T – Extended Range Full-Range Pendant Speaker -- The Control 67P/T incorporates a large enclosure and high-power 6-1/2-inch (165 mm) transducer for extended bass and high-fidelity performance. The extra-large Radiation Boundary Integrator® provides outstanding pattern control, which can allow fewer speakers to cover a venue. It features 120-degree conical coverage and a 60W multi-tap transformer.
C67HC/T – Narrow-Coverage High-Ceiling Pendant Speaker -- The Control 67HC/T’s unique, well-controlled 75-degree narrow coverage is ideal for improved voice intelligibility and enhanced musical clarity in high-ceiling venues or in rooms with difficult acoustics, such as convention centers, transit centers, exhibit venues and hotel atrium areas.   It contains a 6.5-inch (165 mm) woofer with a silk dome tweeter, a 60W multi-tap transformer, and a high sensitivity of 93 dB.

All are available in black or white (-WH).
