Vision2 Marketing and JBL Professional Launch the JBL VTX A8 in Atlanta

The Atlanta audio community got their first taste of the new VTX A8 line array speaker from JBL Professional. The little brother to the flagship VTX A12 was taken ver seriously after a side-by-side demo at Cross Pointe Church in Duluth. Listeners were taken through a brief synopsis of the system, led by Raul Gonzolaz from JBL Professional, who has led demos for the Tour Sound team at JBL since their very first line array was introduced. After the overview, attendees had some hands-on time with the arrays, seeing the newly designed rigging system in action. After the hands-on session, it was time to let the VTX A8 speak for itself. The demo system consisted of a nine-box L/R stereo hang of VTX A8s, as well as a six-box mono center hang of the VTX A12. The box count was designed to have an equal number of components from both types of boxes. (the VTX A8 has 2 8" LF Woofers, 2 3.5" MH Drivers and 2 2" HF Drivers while the VTX A12 has 2 12" LF Woofers, 4 5" MH Drivers and 3 2" HF Drivers). With a great mix of audio professionals, including production customers, integrators, consultants, house of worship staff and volunteers, as well as free lancers, the VTX A8 definitely opened the eyes of all that attended.
